The Cavendish Concert Grand is the culmination of many years of research. We wanted to produce a piano of effortless power and presence to fill a large space with sound combined with a warmth of tone and mellow clarity of the famous English piano makers of the past. This was achieved by using the highest quality components available. Using tone wood (high altitude slow-grown spruce) not just for the soundboard but for the whole acoustic body (soundboard ribs, backposts and apron). This allows the whole assembly to "sing" producing unparalleled power. Coupled with the maple bridges, Renner action and Klüge keyboard a subtlety of tone is achieved which brings back to life the historic greatness of the English piano tone of yesteryear.
